Friday, February 08, 2008 || Paris...

Hi guyz, Its Chinese New Year and this is my first time spending aboard.. Haha. .. I don’t nid to b ard n I got to collect my ang bao… Thanks to my both idiotic sister, wahahaha anyway thankz.. HAPPY NEW YEAR n enjoy your holidays!!!

I had a great time last week spending 4 days in Paris even though I’m very tired. Initially we had some problems with the lodging, we have booked 2 persons room but 4 of us squeeze in the room but the management wasn’t happy about it at all and in the middle of the night me and my fren have to look through the internet and find another accommodation but to must persuade from my another fren we manage to sleep in the room of 2 provided that we don’t make so much noise. Well, the hotel is 3 stars hotel. The first reaction that we got into the room is that wow it is so vintage, and the bed is so nice. Can you imagine 4 gals squeezing into 2 single bed? Haha… but we did manage to get a “good” sleep throughout our stay.

Paris is very nice! Especially at night when you get to see the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe with the lighting.. It’s a paradise but 1 thing that I don’t like is that the people in Paris is very proud and they wasn’t keen to serve tourists. The metro system in Paris is amazing. We almost get lost in the metro. 1 interchange can serve 3-4 different lines that connect to different part of Paris!!

We went to the different famous attraction places in Paris such as Eiffel Tower, Museé de Lourve where we get to see Mona Lisa real painting, Arc de Triomphe standing at the top of it we saw the beauty night scenery in Paris and the starrling Eiffel Tower at night and not forgetting the Notré Dam where the novel of Hunchback fiction storybook. We paid €4.80 to make ourselves suffer to climb all the way up to the top of the building… it’s a total of 488 steps and it’s the staircase is round and round, by the time I reach the top my leg is wobbling and I’m grabbing my breath like nobody biz.. Lol. And we paid €5 to climb another 284 up to the top of Arc de Triomphe… But all the climbing is worth it becoz the view is spectaculars

There a meaning behind the Arc de Triomphe:- here its goes ~

The history of Arc de Triomphe is varied, and marred by the German occupation of Paris, which celebrated by marching through the arch. Commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to honor the French military, the Arc de Triomphe is now a patriotic symbol of France’s history. It was finally completed in 1836, 15 years after Napoleon’s death. In 1920 an unknown solider was buried beneath the arc, to honor the soldiers who fought for France. The Arc de Triomphe has served as a symbol of victory for France, as well as for the Germans and the Allies, both of which have marched through the arch after victories as they enter Paris.

The day we went to Arc de Triomphe, it’s a special day where soldiers get together and to have a small parade for the monument for the unknown soldiers and those ppl who die in the War World I in Europe… Its freaking cold that day! And I say cold is relie Cold where degree is about 3 degree but you feel its like 0 degree! I have wore about 3 layers which makes me look like a dumpling!!! Especially when the wind blew on your face, you can’t even feel your face exist. Too bad I didn’t manage to get to the Disneyland in Paris, but I will going back to Paris during April.

Don’t worry pals, I will upload the photos I took in Paris. Oh ya, we went to LV and the shops is full of people unlike Singapore where ppl doesn’t want to get in because the product is very expensive. But when I went in its like any other stores that are having sales in any department stores. Its so crazy… but the product doesn’t seem cheap because its look small something like €250 is abt SGD$530??? Its like so expensive. I can’t afford to buy the luxury goods..

Anyway I will update soon! Will have my holidays soon next week.. I’m going to England, London… Will update when I’m back.. Going for 6 days!!
